Soft Summer sits on the seasonal flow chart between True Summer and Soft Autumn. Soft Summer colors are the softest and most gentle in the Summer family. They are also darker and less cool than other Summer Seasons.

Neighbouring the Soft Autumn, according to flow theory, makes the Soft Summer palette warmer and darker than other Summers and adds a brownish element to the colors.

However, Soft Summers have cool (blue, gray) undertones, whereas Soft Autumns have warm (golden, honey) undertones.
